Beware of Google Directions:
You'll get to a point where google will say your destination is on the left. The problem is that if you look to your left you'll see a hill, and while I think it would be really cool to live in a hobbit house, sadly I do not. Keep going and refer to the directions below.

From Santa Cruz: Take Hwy 9 north towards Felton.

Once you enter the forest, in just over 1/2 a mile, you will see the entrance (with a cute log cabin) to  "Paradise Park " on the right. This is approximately where Google will say your destination is on the left.

In a very short ways (about .25 miles), you will see on your left a sign for Big Tree Manor — make the hairpin left turn onto it. The sign has no lights and is just around a bend in the road which makes it hard to see if you aren't paying close attention and driving slowly. Just before this you'll see a yellow diamond road sign indicating a road to the left, that's a good time to start slowing down and really looking for the Big Tree Manor sign.

Follow the road up to the mailboxes and then follow the sign to 1675 (left hand fork in the road).  Hint for going over the crest of the hill before you head down so that your car does not bottom out: drive over the hump of the hill at a 45 degree angle.  As you head down this short hill, you will see our A-frame house on the left which is my house.

To park, you must drive past the house and past the long driveway on the left.  Back into the driveway.

In service,

John Baring, Daniel Bittleston, Susan Williams Cook, David Eyes, Jeanne Feeney
