Monthly Branch Meeting November 23, 2021
Alex Tuchman
An exploration of the holy and inspiring life of the honeybee colony from the perspectives of spiritual science and natural science
Our Biodynamics and Beyond program will continue in November with a Zoom presentation by Alex Tuchman, Director of the Spikenard Farm Honeybee Sanctuary. Alex is responsible for the care and development of the landscape, the bees, the biodynamic work, the educational programs, and oversees the greater administrative and organizational tasks. He is an active member of the Agriculture Section of the School for Spiritual Science, the Biodynamic Association, and the Council of Biodynamic Organizations and regularly gives beekeeping and agriculture workshops at Spikenard, as a guest teacher elsewhere, and online.
Alex will meet with us on Zoom and guide a short exploration of the holy and inspiring life of the honeybee colony from the perspectives of spiritual science and natural science, helping us to develop a deeper understanding of the honeybee as a true partner in human evolution. As Rudolf Steiner shared in his lectures on Bees in 1923, “That which we experience within ourselves only at a time when our hearts develop love is actually the very same thing that is present as a substance in the entire beehive. The whole beehive is permeated with life based on love.”
The requested donation for this Zoom event is $5 for current paid branch members, $10 otherwise.
Payment is requested in advance of the event, paid online here.
Recordings of our previous talks in this series are available online here.
